What I've been up to (and another sneak peek....)

I've been a busy little bee as of late! I've been working on a redesign of my website AND a redesign of my Bonhomie Charms!

24k gold accents, new fonts and I'll also be offering custom stamps. Bonhomie Charms will be FULLY customizable! What do you think?

I've also been working on some proactive promotions - gotta keep it under wraps for now but I'm really excited!

In other news - which won't be nearly as exciting for you - my son (turned 4 earlier this month) has finally decided that we can do away with the diapers! Lemme tell ya, if you were me you'd be ecstatic. He's a big boy and outgrew regular diapers long ago.........the only thing that fits are the overnight diapers and they.are.expensive. Hmmm....wonder what I'll do with all the extra money ;-)

Official Pageant Sponsor........

I had the fabulous opportunity to be one of the official sponsors for the first annual Petite America Pageant system!! Don't know if I've ever mentioned this but I am a 'pageant girl'!! I started with a local, New Haven pageant and then competed in the Miss America system on a local level. When I stopped competing, I volunteered for several years in several capacities in the same system. But I digress!!!

I provided some discout coupons for the contestants, gift certificates for the winners and..........

I created some custom charm necklaces for each titleholder!! The custom stamp was created by my favorite stamp maker babyjewels on Etsy. I'm very pleased with how the necklaces turned out. I just love custom work!!!

Bonhomie Charms will soon be offering custom stamps for everyone! Now your charms will truely be one-of-a-kind!! If you can imagine it, I can create it!

Changes are a-comin'.........

Long time, no post! I've got no excuses but I do have a bit of an announcement......Bonhomie Charms will be available here on my blog, coming soon! I'm doing a bit of experimenting with the layout and check out process - if my blog disappears for a bit, you'll know the reason why!!

Originally, my thought was to offer them locally only. I thought the number of customizable options would be a bit cumbersome for my etsy or 1000Markets shops. Hopefully, hosting the sale of my Bonhomie Charms here on my blog will give me more control in setting up the different options for a smooth ordering process. Currently I'm leaning toward the Google Checkout Store Gadget but I haven't ruled out a PayPal cart. Wish me luck - I'm hoping the next post will be the announcement of my new online offerings!

Bonhomie Charms!

At last I can share with you the exclusive item I'll be offering at Brazen Betties.....(drum roll...........like you haven't already figured it out by the title.........)

....custom charm necklaces!!! Not such a novel idea, I know, but I really enjoy making these! It started out as just a custom request by a friend. It was the handstamped pieces that first drew me to crafting jewelry and it was so much fun finding stamps and creating something so personal! The charms are crafted of metal clay which allows me so many more options in terms of fonts and symbols - I can use rubber stamps! These are the basic charms available and they can be stamped on one side or both (it took me a bit to figure out the best way to stamp both sides of clay while it was still 'wet'!!). Of course, as with anything, it can be completely customized - larger charms, smaller charms, charms of different shapes....the possibilities are endless! There are five different fonts available at present, several different symbol stamps and a handful of mini charm shapes that can be included. And of course there are birthstones in the form of swarovski crystals! Each charm can be purchase individually so you can do an 'add-a-charm' kinda thing. Would you rather a bracelet? That can be arranged!!

So if you're in the area, stop by Brazen Betties and have a gander at one of my necklaces in person! Not local? Call Julia at the shop: 860.671.0986. She'd be happy to take your order and have it shipped to you!
